Maslow

Dutch artist Folkert de Jong, one of the most
innovative young sculptors today, stages chaotic figurative
scenes using styrofoam and polyurethane foam. |
- Thomas Hirschhorn - Laundrette,
2001

The French title, feminine in gender, for what
in America is referred to in the harsher sounding Laundromat,
carries a sense of nurturing, of return to the basics, of the
equalization that occurs when distinctions fade in the humdrum
environment of fulfilling the basic tasks of life. |
Announcements
- HVCCA is pleased to welcome Paul Brewer as its Director.
Paul received his Master of Arts in Criticism from Bard College and has previously served as David Schwarz Projects Curator at SUNY Purchase and Director of College Exhibitions and Special Programs at the Corcoran Museum of Art.
- Westchester
Arts Council Grant for 2006
The Westchester Arts Council gave HVCCA its largest operations grant
in its history for an arts organization in existence less than three
years.
- GDC Continues Support of Peekskill
Project 2006
Ginsburg Development Corporation continues their support of the
Peekskill Project, the third annual event that brings contemporary art
out of the gallery and into the communities of Peekskill.
